At Cave Creek Music Academy, we know families have questions before starting music lessons. Below are the most common FAQs about our programs, pricing, and approach. If you don’t see your answer here, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to help.
What instruments can I learn?
We teach piano, violin, and voice. Lessons are personalized for children, teens, and adults of all levels.
How much do lessons cost?
Piano and voice lessons are $40 per half hour or $70 per hour. Violin lessons are $50 per half hour or $90 per hour.
What is the cancellation and rescheduling policy?
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel. With advance notice, lessons may be rescheduled within the same week when scheduling allows. Lessons missed without prior notice are not refunded or rescheduled.
Is there a registration fee or long-term commitment?
No. There is currently no registration fee and no long-term lesson commitment.
Do you teach beginners?
Yes. We welcome complete beginners as well as advanced students preparing for auditions or performances.
What ages do you work with?
We teach students of all ages—young children, teens, adults, and seniors.
Where are you located?
Our in-home studio is in Tatum Ranch, Cave Creek. We serve families across Cave Creek, Carefree, Scottsdale, and Phoenix.
Do you offer online music lessons?
Yes. Virtual lessons are available and provide the same personalized instruction as in-person sessions.
Can I use Arizona ESA funds for lessons?
Yes—we accept Arizona ESA (Empowerment Scholarship Account) funds.
Are recitals included?
Yes. Students have opportunities to perform at recitals and community events to build confidence and showcase progress.
Do you offer gift certificates for lessons?
Yes. We offer gift certificates for piano, violin, and voice lessons. You can choose any amount or a lesson package, and we’ll email a personalized e-gift certificate. The recipient can schedule at their convenience and apply it toward lessons at Cave Creek Music Academy. To purchase, visit the Book Lessons page or contact us and we’ll set it up.
What makes Cave Creek Music Academy different?
Lessons are taught personally by Alona Liesniak, who holds a master's degree in music, has more than 20 years of teaching experience, and toured internationally with a symphony orchestra. Her approach is warm, supportive, and personalized.
